Visitors to the Sicily: Culture and Conquest exhibition which opened in late April at the British Museum will be dazzled by the large illuminated reproduction of the ceiling of Palermo’s Palatine Chapel.
Praxis worked closely with the design team at the British Museum to produce a large format horizontally hung Kube illuminated light box. Measuring 4.4m x 2.2m the graphic, described by the Guardian newspaper as a “fine recreation”, showcases the spectacular Muqarna style ceiling and is a highlight of the exhibition.
Sicily: Culture and Conquest runs until mid-August 2016 and features 100s of artefacts and displays which show how Sicily became a melting pot of cultures and influences in the Ancient and Medieval Ages.
